I heard a piece yesterday reporting on the same general subject, but noting how this evolution means that many songs in India are finding huge success in minority languages. Number one song in India today, the report said, is in Tamil, for example.

How about a strategic plan to make Indian newspapers the default and best reference for knowing anything about India by anyone anywhere in the world? The New York Times can be a part of the bigger picture, but India and Indian newspapers should be at the core, no?
